She’s Seven Now — and She’s Still Sending Me to Paris
This is about more than flowers. It’s about how we shape a beautiful life — and why I hope you’ll join me in Paris in 2026.
The garden is waking up.
After this long northern sleep, she’s stretching. Slowly. Gratefully.
I have SO much to share with you this year from my garden this summer. She is seven years old now.
I was out there before coffee this morning, in my robe and boots, checking buds and scolding rabbits. The roses are behind, the wisteria is still being coy, but the peonies are faithful as ever, ready to pop. I tucked a fistful of weeds into my pocket like always, because… well, hands are never empty out here.
And as I looked around — at the espalier apple trees we staked last week, at the lilacs on the wind, at the rusted trellis holding on for another season — I realized:
What I want in my garden is exactly what I want in Paris.
Layers. Patina. History. Texture. Surprise.
You know what I mean?
I want to be moved by the design, not just impressed by it.
That’s the whole heartbeat of what I do — whether it’s designing a room, throwing a party, choosing an outfit, or curating an itinerary. It’s why I take women to Paris. Not to check off boxes or pose by landmarks, but to feel something. To remember what beauty really looks like. To be surrounded by art, flavor, scent, music, style. To be reminded that design matters — not for perfection’s sake, but because we are souls who crave beauty.
And what we come home with is enough inspiration and warmth to make it through the next chapter of life.
It’s a refueling — and we need it.
So here’s my bold little move today:
My 2026 Paris trips are live.
And if your soul is craving that kind of beauty — the kind that lingers long after your suitcase is unpacked — I want you with me.
We’ll wander antique markets with espresso in hand (lovingly served to us by one of my doting antique dealers).
We’ll have private wine classes and cooking lessons in tucked-away corners of the city.
We’ll laugh. Shop. Learn. Eat. Live.
I always say this: you don’t need a reason to go to Paris.
But if you were waiting for a sign… this is it.
