I still remember the day. I cried while those horrifying pictures played over and over on television. My sweet daughter, then only four, tried to console me eventhough she could not understand the enormity of it all.
I had to work alone that day (I was an optician then)and it was the doctors day off. The first I heard was when I turned on the radio when I opened the office.
I called my husband and sent him to the TV to see what was going on. The first images I saw was when I returned home at 4:00 pm and I will never forget the shock of seeing those planes flying into the WTC. Never!
Thankfully, we remember with respect and decorm that is fitting to the magnitude of the devastation of that day. My hope that we continue to remember…respectfully and with dignity.

My husband and I are watching a re-play of the broadcast from 9/11/01 on MSNBC.
And I have a knot in my stomach and am trying not to cry.

A day we will all keep in our thoughts forever. God has blessed us and I know we are here to make a difference.

Never forget. I’m thankful for President Bush who kept us from further attack for the 7 years.
