Each season has it’s own sounds…
Autumn rustles,
Winter crackles under ice between moments of silent snowfall,
Spring drips and chirps it’s arrival…
But Summer…
Ah Summer…
I love it.
Summer sounds like…
Children splashing in glee…
Branches being swept aside in search of juicy, fresh fruits…
Crinolines swhooshing under a June bride’s gown…
Pea gravel crunching underneath your feet on an afternoon weed check…
The pour of an ice cold beverage with the view from a summer cottage…
And crickets chirping after another glorious sunset.
What does summer sound like to you?
Savor those sounds…
Summer will be gone before we know it.
Your photography is amazing! I could go for that ice cold beverage …as long as its wine…right now. Hot as the dickens here in Massachusetts today!
Gorgeous photos! Amazing photography! Love it! Lulu
What lovely pictures! I love a cool summer night where the windows can be open and the crickets chirping, now thats summer! I’m also a locust fan so when those come around, I love the sound they make!
I just came over to your blog via “Home Haven Ministry.” I just had to check out your blog after your comment on the lack of respect for the red-white-and-blue shown by our then-future president. Anyway, I figured anyone who used the term, “almost spit my coffee” would be a good read on her own blog! hehe. I was right…love your blog and will be back! Thanks!
