Sick in the Head…

Oct 16, 2011 | Full Time Family | 16 comments

In more ways than one…

First being, all of my children have been sick with a cold at some point in the last two weeks, thus my lack of presence here on the website.  Now, the poor baby has it… all sniffy and snorty.  So unfair for a little six week old person.
Le pauvre.

Second being, my sense of humor is sick and deranged.  I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to laugh and this is the kind of ridiculous crap that literally leaves me clawing the floor and gasping for air…  after 1,000 snot wipes I had to have SOME entertainment and when my cousin shared this with me last night I knew I had to share it with you.  You will either think I am off my bloody rocker and thinking “I don’t get it” or you too will find yourself gasping for air…

I promise I will be back in a more normal fashion soon.  The baby is the last to get it so we should be A-OK in the Parisienne Farmhouse again pronto.

You may want to use the ladies room first…

I swear they get funnier each time.

  2. Hi, I'm Laura Ingalls Gunn

The beauty of the video is that you can hit pause or even stop. But a 10 year old boy learning the recorder at school and insisting he must practice ALL DAY cannot be paused or stopped. No need for video for me.
For additional laughs I can send him for a visit.

You were right. Should have taken a potty break first! Hilarious. My first crush in school was with a boy who played the recorder. (Thank Heaven he was better than this!)

Hmmmmm…I can’t say that I found it too funny but it was amusing. I wasn’t sure through most of it if the person was male or female until he opened his shirt (that was lovely). But two funny things did happen while I was watching:
    1. I was so focused on discovering his gender I didn’t realize I did have snot running out of my nose (from my cold–not laughing).

    2. My dog, who was dead to the world before I started watching, shot his head up at the noise, came over to my laptop and was trying to figure out where the sound was coming from. He’s never expressed interest in my laptop before.

Wow, was he serious? My husband and I couldn’t figure out if he was joking or not. The part where he flicked his shirt off was a little creepy!
    Have a lovely day.
    Sincerely,

My ears are bleeding! That’s not a flute, it’s a recorder. I have spent the last sixteen years listening to the horrible sounds of the recorder as played by the fourth and fifth graders at school. Now I know what they will be able to do with this questionable musical skill someday.

O man. That’s stinkin’ hilarious. When he looks at the camera over the candlelight…and when he’s looking at the guy stretched out on the cannon. (WTH?) O mercy. Hope everyone is better soon!

They both were laugh out loud hilarious. But my hubby has always said I’m easily amused. Thanks bunches.

I am DYING of laughter! Not sure if it’s the shared love of that movie and it’s music, or the fact that I teach the dang recorder to 3rd – 5th graders and they sound about the same! :o) Hilarous. Thanks for sharing!

    Hi there,
I found your blog through Homestead Revival yesterday, and I wanted to comment here to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this post. Hubby and I have been so stressed out lately–he’s laid off, we’re broke, have no idea how we’re going to buy groceries, etc.–and then we watched this video yesterday, and we laughed and laughed and laughed until the tears were running down our faces, and suddenly everything didn’t seem so bad.

Seriously, that is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. It matches my sense of humour exactly. I’m a little bit weird. 🙂

    So thanks!
