The Potager is fading… though shocks of hot pink roses and Love Lies Bleeding still grab the eye…
For the shower I decided to use only homegrown flowers (though big, fat, coral colored roses would have been incredible!) I didn’t want fall colors, but that didn’t mean there wasn’t a seasonal flair to the arrangements that were around the house… sage, roses (accented with peacock feathers) and…
Broccoli & Boxwood.
The table runners had a hint of a greenish, yellow and I thought the blooms from the seeding broccoli would be the perfect match. And a few sprigs from the Boxwood hedge in need of it’s final trim of the year.
Walk your garden today… what could you bring in to enjoy?
Seasonal décor this last day of summer.
Bonne journée mes amies.
So true, I love to bring in whatever is growing in the yard… the dried hydrangeas and seeded herbs are just perfect this time of year. Lovely photos, especially the last one!! 🙂
The baby shower was beautiful too!
Take care, Carissa

Veggie’s gone to seed are so very often gorgeous. I like herbs and such, too.
Your pics are gorgeous. After I finish my garden work you’ve inspired me to pick a whole bunch of stuff. Thanks. There’s a reason I keep you in my Google Reader section labeled “Inspiration.”
P.S Your comment on my “other” blog was hysterical. That was the moment I knew for absolutely sure I “hearted” you! 😉
I love that you used the broccoli! Such a pretty flower, and creative to boot!

The flowers and herbs were just right for the shower – you know I am in love with green, blue, bright things and fresh things. You have such a great eye for these things!
Broccoli and Boxwood… I never would have thought of this combination. How lovely they are together:-)
