The Queen of Clean

Jan 7, 2011 | Views into my Day | 8 comments

…I am not.
But I sure try.
Or die trying depending who you are asking.

A couple days after Christmas I found myself ready to be done with it all… and I usually keep up my decorations until the 6th or so… but this is such a new life for us with the little ones now schooling… I needed that “fresh slate”… a New Years free of pine needles and clutter.
As beautiful as it all is when you first set it up,
it’s just as beautiful when you take it all down.
A place for everything and everything in it’s place makes
Momma a very happy Parisienne Farmgirl indeed.

I hear ya! I am the same way. I love that sparkly fresh “empty” space look when it all comes down. It inspires me to rearrange and freshen up a bit! Have a great day.

LOVE, love La Tour Eiffel ornaments! What a clever collection for the Parisienne Farmgirl!

I kept my things up until yesterday…and if feels so good to begin the “decluttering” process…even though I don’t think of my Christmas stuff as clutter…it just feels that way come January.

    Blessings,

Me too – my meager decorations are already gone. I even gave away the fake tree! (Got a new one.) Now I want to do the same with the contents of my closet and just START OVER. Nothing fits right anyway.

I TOTALLY agree! We still have company here but as soon as they leave I am going to clean from top to bottom, give away stuff I will later wish I didn’t and rearrange all my furniture! I think I am longing for order. 🙂 Happy New Year Angela! xo Caroline

I am impressed, all of my ornaments get wrapped in tissue but then tossed ‘higgley-piggley’ into community containers…well they are catogized, but each one of your has a dedicated space! Super
