Enjoy three different Parisian flea market tours with Angela.
Angela will offer assistance with translation, opinions on prices, etiquette and negotiations.
And that’s not all. Here’s what else is included in your trip:
ARRIVE: Taxi, or shuttle transport to and from the Charles de Gaulle, Paris airport for arrivals on 4/11, 4/18, 10/10 and 10/17(Hotel check-in is at three. We hope to arrange baggage drop off, and we will have a THOROUGH lesson on how to use the Metro this first day. More details are in the itinerary, which will be provided with your trip confirmation.)
STAY: Four-star hotel accommodations for one (Double occupancy. Come with a friend or know that you will be assigned a room partner) Our hotel is a four-star hotel, very “Old World” and “Parisienne Farmgirl.” Need to rest your feet? There’s a beautiful courtyard with a wine bar where you and your friends can recount the day’s adventures. Breakfast is served daily; each room has its own bathroom and a minibar. There is also an elevator (for those bags full of flea market loot) and air conditioning (both very rare).
TREATS: Welcome package macarons and champagne at the hotel for you. Stroll down to the river to enjoy!
GETTING AROUND: Metro pass and complete in-person lesson with Angela later in the day on Thursday. We’ll get your metro passes and take a few rides to show you EXACTLY how to use the Paris Metro like a pro as we’ve allowed for you to have free time to explore this wonderful city.
FLEA MARKETS GALORE! Enjoy three different flea market tours with Angela (Lunch included during Sunday’s market) Angela will offer assistance with translation, opinions on prices, etiquette, negotiations, etc. It is recommended that you bring an empty suitcase with packing material to transport small items home. Most airlines allow 50-70 pounds per checked bag, so check with your airline and shop til you drop! I’ll be bringing a scale for you to use. Shipping items home is possible but will be your own responsibility. Angela can help you locate a French post office, and the French post office can ship your larger items home but coordinating this will be a personal responsibility. Please note shipping costs or additional luggage costs are not included in the price of the tour.
TOURIST ATTRACTION: First-floor Eiffel Tower ticket and glass of champagne on the viewing deck with Angela, 25% off Arc de Triumphe tickets and Musée de Grevin tickets
MEMORIES: Eiffel Tower photo opp with Angela – Social media hot spot location! You’ll see many ‘influencers’ taking those once-in-a-lifetime photos, and Angela will take yours for you.
EAT WELL: One bistro dinner with Angela and the group (2 glasses of wine, entré, dinner, dessert)
TOAST THE CITY OF LIGHT FROM THE WATER: One evening riverboat dinner cruise with Angela and the group
PREP: Pre-trip zoom call, meet the group, ask questions (Currency, maps, cultural differences, and more will be covered!)
PLAN: Up to a one-hour “travel agent” call with Angela to help you plan your free time in Paris. I want you to feel SUPER confident in the city and can help you with museum passes, exhibit ideas, and more. I realize some will want to come earlier or stay longer. I’m happy to assist with this as well.
Five nights, six days
$5500
A $500 deposit immediately secures your spot out of the 8 spots available. Deposits can be made via Venmo (@Joel-Reed-46) or Zelle using 2550 when prompted for the last four digits of our phone number. Please feel free to secure your spot or reach out to me with questions first by filling out the form on this page.
Airfare is not included, but recommendations can be made.
TERMS: The price is $5500 per person. Double occupancy. If you have a friend booking the trip with you, please let me know so I can assign you to the same room otherwise, you will be assigned a roommate. All rooms are double occupancy, and individual beds have been requested with hotel management. If you need your own room for health or privacy reasons please inquire immediately.
A deposit of $500 is required to secure your place on this trip. Each trip allows a minimum of 4 guests and no more than eight guests to ensure an intimate experience.
Children under 16 are not allowed to join us on our itinerary plans. No exceptions, but if you need a family room for family members that have other activities planned, let me know, and I will try to coordinate that with the hotel.
Spouses will be required to pay the full amount even if they chose to opt-out of some activities. No exceptions. You must purchase two packages if your spouse is accompanying you, as we have secured hotel accommodations for a total of eight. *We reserve the right to ‘overbook’ the trip by one person to allow for cancelations.
With regret, this trip can not accommodate those with mobility issues. Please note while it is quiet and charming, Paris is also a busy metropolis, metros can be crowded, and there are many stairs and lots of walking required.
To IMMEDIATELY secure your spot you can send your deposit via Venmo (@Joel-Reed-46) or Zelle (2550) The balance for the April trip is due by January 15th, 2024. The balance for the October trip is due by July 1, 2024 ALL trip payments are non-refundable.
Due to ‘acts of God’ and unforeseen circumstances in the world, transferable and refundable airfare is highly recommended, as is travel insurance as a best practice. If any unforeseen circumstances (Lockdowns, geo-political situations, etc.) would cause the trip to be postponed, you will not lose any money. Your spot will be held until the next trip can be scheduled. As these trips have been planned well in advance, things like museum pass discounts may be subject to change. Strikes within Paris may happen (affecting things like Metro usage and boat tours). Any changes to be made will be made at Angela’s discretion and will be greater or equal to the current plans listed here. We don’t plan to make changes, but appreciate your understanding of circumstances that would be out of our control.
Angela Reed, Parisienne Farmgirl, and the Old World Design Society are not responsible for currency fluctuations, but at the time of this trip being offered, the American dollar is at an all-time high against the Euro. Angela Reed, Parisienne Farmgirl, the Old World Design Society, employees, and those assisting with the trip are not responsible for airline delays, damages, injuries, unforeseen circumstances, lockdowns, strikes, etc. We will be available before the trip to answer any questions to help make your planning and subsequent memory-making as perfect as possible.
In addition, if you have severe food allergies, we can not accommodate those on this trip. Food allergies will be your responsibility, as our dining locations will not be vetted accordingly.
*’Personal’ simply means if our planes arrive within a bit of each other, you are welcome to join me on the train into the city. I will be using public transportation.
