style="text-align: center;">It’s funny.
Getting older.
I used to pitch such a fit on New Years Eve… there is never anything to do.  People are so lame.  I always wanted to go to a Breakfast at Tiffany type party.  Wall to wall people in dresses and suits with swanky music playing and champagne flowing.
Dang, that still sounds so much fun.
But, truth be told I haven’t seen midnight on New Years Eve in at least three years.   And ’til the perfect swanky party comes up I am so content with this chapter of my life.  Content to play a truly horrible game like Chutes and Ladders with my kids (I mean, shoot me now.)   I am content to wear my ugly, old pyjama’s that Joel bought me back when we used to exchange gifts… content to dance with my daughter to Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy over and over and over again.  Content to watch Joel and Aidan beat the TAR out of each other… Aidan showing of his testosterone for all of us to see.
The next day we stayed in our jammies all day and read books and magazines… all day.  Homemade pizza, a nap…
Can’t imagine that is gets much better than that.
