Door County Summer Colors – Day Two

Aug 15, 2012 | Door County | 5 comments

 A room with a view… and you…
 Morning Latté
Skinny, decaf, extra hot, heaven.
The boat Aidan got the chance to drive later in the week.
 There are no words.
 Me-n-my-Hoolie.

Clearly there are no Posture Police in Fish Creek.
Sheesh Ang… for someone who is CONSTANTLY, mentally criticizing other people’s posture…. how embarrassing!!!
I was going for that boobs-on-the-knee-caps look.
 Sunset beach (during the day).
I don’t think I could EVER tire of hearing the waves crash onto the shore… or of looking at that cherubic face.
“Put your teeth away” – family joke.

Julien heebers in the breeze.
If there is one restaurant I love, it’s the Bayside Tavern.  It is there that I bi-anually, guilt-freely, indulge in fried food and the world’s best Bloody Mary’s.
Gotta love a separate table for the kids.
Those bartenders and waitresses were SO WONDERFUL to our kids, bringing them crackers, HALF FILLED waters with lids and straws, crayons and lots of doting attention as our babes would recount their adventures, in great detail, of the day.
 Aw – yeah.
Guess how much I love you?
I have to say, vacationing with kids is nothing like vacationing sans enfants but it’s awesome in an entirely different way as you share in the joy of them experiencing things for the first time.
The second night we got them all tucked in Joel said, “Welcome to the Surf-n-Turf crowd” – as we were well established on our porch for the night by 7:30 pm.  The wonderful thing about our location was that though we were stuck home early most evenings there was PLENTY of entertaining people watching.
A perfectly balmy evening, a new bracelet from a local gift store and an ice cold Pelly.

I agree with Noel…darlin’ babies you’ve got there! Don’t take them out in public where there are little old ladies…they’ll pinch their little cheeks pink!
