It’s with a sigh a relief that I will reveal our guests yesterday…
I was so honored to have Fifi O’Neil and her killer photographer Mark here for a photo shoot! Fifi, as many know, is the editor of Romantic Country magazine and she is writing her first book due our next Spring. Turns out (thanks to the referral from Momma) that the Parisienne Farmhouse made the cut and will be one of the homes featured!
How do you say GIDDY au français…
I guess I should have asked Fifi as she is a true Parisienne.
I had a bet with Mom that I would be able to tell if she was from Paris or not… I am not so good with the other regions from France but I can pick a Parisian… especially a Parisienne* accent out a country mile away!
We re-arranged, shot and gabbed all day long and it made all the hard work the last couple weeks TOTALLY worth it! (Just think of what you would do if someone said they were coming to shoot your house… after you got done freaking out of course!)
I was up a 4:09 a.m. baking cinnamon rolls, quiche, macarons… all for the shoot and to feed those two hard workers! Fifi is a riot and Mark is a hoot and a basket full of knowledge for a wanna-be photographer like myself. (Let me say, “so sorry” now for my terrible photographs of the day, there was no time to even think and I had to be careful not to shoot what they were shooting… cause then why would you buy the book… non?)
It was so amazing to see what someone else would do with your things and dare I say even more fun when she was pretty satisfied with what I had done already. The dining room, kitchen and potager will be featured.
After a long day of juggling children, nap schedules and keeping Fifi and Mark fully caffinated a baby sitter showed up and we went into town for a lovely meal and a toast to her new book. It was really a great experience. So fun and very educational.
Hmmm, how to hide her darling neighbors HIDEOUS white trellis????
And now, I am going to relax, pull weeds, sip wine,
praise the Lord and enjoy the rest of my summer!!!!
I’m working on a giveaway!
