A PFM Announcement

Ladies, it is with great disappointment that I make this announcement but due to unforeseen, extenuating circumstances publication of PFM will be on hold for this next year.
Many of you know PFM is a family business, we recently moved and my health has been affected in a variety of ways in the last couple months. (Some I have mentioned on my blog, some I have not.) Most of the responsibility to produce the magazine lies with myself - to keep the quality product that so many of you enjoy (and to take good care of myself for my family's sake) it is prudent for us to temporarily suspend the publication. Some of you have one to two magazines left from when we were offering annual subscriptions. Of course, your subscriptions will resume when we resume publication. Advertisers will still enjoy exposure on the website and I will be happy to promote you via giveaways on my blog in the meantime.
We are still offering back issues, and still accepting submissions for all seasons. Please visit www.parisiennefarmgirlmagazine for submission information. It is our plan to bring you a beautiful magazine late this (2013) year. Please stay tuned for updates.
I appreciate your understanding. This was a very disappointing, difficult but necessary decision to make at the end of our first year of business.
Happy New Year!
Angela

Dearest Angela,
No matter what kind of writing one does; it takes an enormous amount of time. Having published a little book (scientifically) and several magazine publications myself, as well as my husband having published several books and lots of magazine publications we fully understand. You made a tough but a wise decision and your family comes FIRST! Hold on to each other tight and enjoy time with each other. Wishing you a healthy and happy 2013.
Hugs,
Mariette

I pray that God will restore your health. . . and bless this hard choice you have had to make.

I too am in the process of making the same decision. After getting my business up and running this past year I was diagnosed with melanoma in July. Two surgeries later I am cancer free (!!!) but will have a long, uncertain recovery from this last surgery.

Health and family come first though, don't they?

I'll tell you the same things my family and friends told me . . .
You are very good at what you do . . . When you are ready to start again, People will be waiting for you. . . :D

God bless you and your lovely family in the year to come.

I was actually wondering earlier today how you were able to manage a household, be a wife, mama to 4, homeschool, and publish a magazine. :) I always try to do more than I can handle, so I understand your situation. Hope you enjoy your break and start to feel better soon. I'll be praying for you!

Angela,
Speaking as a subscriber, all that matters to me is that you look after yourself and your family. The magazine can and will wait. You are in my prayers and you have my wishes for a happy and most important HEALTHY 2013! God bless you and your family.

So sorry you are still having health issues...
Looking forward to becoming a subscriber (which was on my list to do) when you return.
Not to worry. I would imagine most all of your readers will completely understand.
Good for you for making the difficult decision, I am quite sure it was a painful one.
You must do what is necessary to be well.
I will be praying for your healing.
Be at peace.

Good for you....your health is priority so your family can be priority then others......I applaud you!

All of us have had to say "sorry, not happening" at one time or two or three or four. It's life.... and your life is turning corners in a lovely way at Half Way Farm.

Angela,

Family, health, my relationship with God, and my sanity all come first, or that's my goal anyway...

That being said, your decision-be it disappointing and difficult, is probably a wise one if things aren't in the right balance. You've got a new nest to feather, a husband that needs your attention, and four precious kiddos to take care of. Luckily, your subscribers are most likely grounded just the same and will understand.

I hope that you will get well soon, and that the pressure of the magazine will fade away and give you some much needed peace and rest.

Very brave of you to decide this and I'm so glad you did. I will still enjoy 2012 issues and look forward to it resuming if that works out. Meanwhile, may I say that as beautiful as the magazine was, your blog is what I enjoy the most, the life you and your husband create for your children.

I hope you will just take care of yourself and your family and I pray that all the dreams you had for your farm will come true in God's own time.

Blessings in 2013,
Dewena

I'm sorry to hear your not feeling well. Your body is telling you to slow down and take care of yourself. I hope the problems you were having in the new house are improving. Take care and enjoy those beautiful babies.

Angela, this has to be best, for now. These things will come back to you when the timing is right. I have no doubt about that. Moving alone is a tremendous strain on every part of the body and soul. Sometimes we need to just cut out everything we can until things are once again in harmony with life's calling. You have had so Manu things on your plate and the magazine can slip aside while the Lord and family resume in all things strong and growing. If you can blog from time to time, wonderful, but regardless, what a great thing to realign your schedule for your health and family's sake. Having just lost my Father I say, spend all the time you can with dear ones. Praying for you...

I'm sorry to hear that your health is not optimum. For years I struggled with what MDs refer to as "non specific" symptoms. I think that's fancy talk for "I don't know what's wrong with you." For all of those years I managed to homeschool & run a small farm by pushing through each day. Then my husband died & I could no longer push through. My adult daughter & I had a hair/mineral test done that solved the problem of what was wrong with us. We both have toxic levels of copper which cause a multitude of other problems. The remedy is simple, remove the copper. I'm enclosing a link to Uckele, the company that did our test. I have no relationship with them other than we've used them to test ourselves & our horse. http://equine.uckele.com/services

I don't know why I did not think to do this sooner, but, as I look up your blog each day and see no new articles it hit me. I needed to pray for you guys. You have hit the wall so to speak and need Gods help getting energy back and so I will do that today. Nothing perks you up better than a good dose of Gods care.
